New year chat

Hey lovelies!

Happy new years eve!!!

For this post I’m gonna just have a shot chat with you about new year and the fact it’s almost officially 2017!!!!!

I’m really exited and it you read my 2016 post you’ll understand that this year I have had a couple (under reacting!) of problems with friendships and everything 🙂  But I also said that if we just skipped 2016 I wouldn’t be here chatting to random strangers who I have only known for about a week about all my life problems and personal issues! Lol!!!  I am seriously happy I’ve started this blog though and without 2016 I actually wouldn’t be here now. I also realized that I absolutely LOVE photography and I would consider it to be my career when I’m older. Photography and a few best friends and, now, this blog have got me through 2016 and on the way I’ve found out who I truly am so therefore I am actually grateful that  2016 did exist.

Now lets talk about 2017…

I can’t wait to make use of all the things I’ve learnt in 2016 and prove to everyone what I am capable of… I’m not just another random girl. I want to be know for something like photography so people would just be like ohhhh I know who you mean! That girl who is a great photographer. Even if they don’t know my name I’d be happy with the title: Great Photographer. I’ve also set some targets that i’d like to achieve. I though instead of doing a load of little ones I’d do a couple of more important ones which I’m more likely to achieve so here they are:

  • Be me. By that I mean stay true to myself and try not to impress others just be myself around them and it’s there problem if they don’t like the real me.
  • Be healthier. I do literally try to do this every year but this time I’m determined to be healthier, cut down on the sweets and drink more water!
  • Have some ‘me’ time. Don’t pend forever on my phone or the internet, get outside and do something adventurous or turn off my electronics and sit down and do some colouring. anything which counts as time to myself really.
  • Be more tolerant.  Meaning let little things that irritate me go. Don’t make them into a big deal and get all panicky about it or be rude back to someone of they are rude to me. and just generally don’t make things into a big deal.

Those are my 4 things I’m going to hopefully achieve this year and I’ll sure keep you updated on how it’s going! I would also like to continue with my hobbies eg. blogging and photography and never give up! I’d also like to try and work harder at school and on homework (wish me luck!!)

This is all for that post, I hope you enjoyed my little chat and I’m going to go and enjoy new years eve!

Bye,

Autumn xx

I love photography because…

Hello Lovelies!

I’d like to start off by saying a MASSIVE thank you for everyone who has been kind enough to comment lovely things on all my posts and I also I hope you all have fun tonight. Also be expecting a new years resolution post today or tomorrow so look out for that!

Ok so on with today’s post because I’m looking forward to it!!

Over the past couple of days I’ve been collecting reasons why everyone loves photography from my Instagram and on my blog for this post and it’s literally gonna be a load of everyone’s reasons why they love photography kind of merged together and I’m excited to start. I’ll also link all their Instagrams and blogs so you should go check them out.

I love photography because it’s a beautiful way of capturing moments and keeping them forever. I love how you get to freeze a moment in life. You can loose yourself in a photo and all my negative feelings just drift away when I have my camera in hand, it’s just me and my camera, escaping the world for a while. It’s like I’m somewhere else, free to take picture of whatever I want. No one can tell you what to do or who to be, express your creativity and taking photos helps you explain yourself when words fail. I want to be able to express the beauty I feel and see in nature and photography helps me to do that. I can capture the essence of something truly beautiful that tells a story which I can remember forever. Every time I look back at that photo, I remember again.  As well as expressing the beauty I feel and see I can express the emotions going through my brain and I can clear my mind. I’m not some professional photographer but photography makes me happy, so does seeing them printed out looking all professional I think wow I took this and not being professional doesn’t stop me having fun! I want to be able to share my photos with the world to make people feel differently about things and understand my emotions or the point I’m trying to get across.

Photography is my passion.

Photography is my escape.

photography is my life.

and that’s why I love photography.

Yayyy!!!! I did it!!!

29/12/16

Hey Lovelies!

So today I though why not do a kind of diary entry because I’ve never done one before on my blog and I thought it would bee cool to do!

So yesterday I has a pretty chilled back day but it was still fun!

The first thing I did once I woke up was do some of my photography project, which, although it’s for school it doesn’t really feel like homework because I’m really enjoying doing it.

Later that morning (well at about 9:00) me and my best friend, A (remember my blog is anonymous so I can’t write names!!) went to the park for a bit because there were sooooooooo many amazing photo opportunities as it was really frosty outside. We also went because I wanted to teach him some photography stuff for my arts award. It was some pretty simple stuff which helps improve your photos like shutter speed and aperture but it was still fun because no one was around and we just chatted and walked around the park, taking photos. I thought I’d show you some of the photos A and I took so here they are:

Here are some of the ones I took:

And here are some of A’s:

p1080784p1080786p1080787p1080790P1080783.JPGp1080780

Sorry A if you are reading this and didn’t want them on my blog!!

Oh yeah, A is the only person who knows about my blog (he should feel very privileged!)

After that we were going to go back to mine and edit the photos but I forgot my keys so we had to walk all the very long way across the road to A’s house which took literally forever because he lived opposite me! uuugggghhhh! We were so exhausted by the time we got all the way to A’s we just had to sit down and eat sweets! Then when my mum texted me that she was back I nipped across the road to my house without A because he went bowling 🙂

That was literally all I did yesterday.

I’ve have a special announcement!!!!!

I’m writing this post about photography (yes, another photography post!) and I need you all to write down why you love photography in the comments please and if you already commented that on my last post then tell me, in the comments, if you want your reason why you love photography to go in my post!

Thanks,

Autumn xx

photography

Hello Lovelies!

I’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you! I mean 13 followers in 5 days, that’s incredible!! I was going to be happy when I got to 5 followers but woah! thanks guys x

For today’s post I thought I should tell you, in detail why I love photography because I haven’t really written a long paragraph about it before but I love geeking out about photography, even when the person I’m talking to can’t even work a camera and don’t even know what I’m on about!!!

The first reason I love photography is that it can help you remember things you may, otherwise, forget and I’m not talking take a photo of your geography text book and you’ll remember to do do that assessment which was due in 2 weeks ago! I mean little happy moments which you’d like to preserve because otherwise you’d forget that they ever happened. I have over 100 photos stuck all around my bedroom walls and each one of them holds a little happy moment. I love that. I love how when ever I look at one of my photos I think; Oh yeah! That was when… and I had so much fun!  I can’t express how much I love that feeling of remembering the little things that made me happy. I always look at my photos when I’m feeling sad or anxious or just a little bit down because it shows me there’s always hope and I’d felt like it before and I got out of my mood, there are photos to prove it.

I also love how photography helps you make great friends who have the same passions as you all thanks to the internet! I’ve met friends I may not ever meet but I feel like I could chat to them forever and photography has helped me do that. If I hadn’t been a passionate photographer I wouldn’t have made my photography instagram account and I wouldn’t have made tones of friends and even if I didn’t have photography I wouldn’t have set up this blog because I wanted to see if people liked my photos and I’ve already made some friends on here even though I only have 13 followers!

Another reason photography is my passion is because that I think it’s amazing how the photos you’ve taken inspires people helps them to have a little peak into how you see the world and it lets people understand how you’re feeling without saying to them ‘I’m sad’ or ‘I’m excited’. I feel that, to me, my mood reflects on the atmosphere of my photos and so therefore is useful if you don’t sometimes have the confidence to tell people how you feel.

The final thing I love about photography is that it gets you outdoors. Yes, i know that there are tones of other things that get you outside but photography is one of the few of them that actually lets you appreciate nature at its finest. Photography shows you how beautiful the world can be if you look in the right places and bother to take the time to get out and enjoy it. It shows you that winter isn’t just a load of dead trees but also an icy wonderland filled with animals and little, surviving plants. That’s something I love.

If any of you out there are thinking of giving photography a go then I hope this post inspired you to go out and try it!

Also I hope that any photographers reading this can relate and it’s not just me who feels this way,

tell me in the comments why you love photography.

how to destress

Hello Lovelies!

I made this blog to share my passions, express my feelings and to see is anyone can help out in bad situations that I may have but I also made this blog to help others out, to give tips and advice from my own knowledge and to inspire. So that’s what I’m going to do in this post.

Being stressed can be hard to deal with and it can happen to anyone at any time for any reason. Even the littlest things can cause stress so I thought why not help you all out and even if you’re not super stressed these tips are great if you just want some ‘me’ tip or to chill out and relax.

Breathing

This is quite a simple and obvious one which i personally didn’t think it worked so didn’t try it out until quite recently but trust me on this; it works. When you are stressed you breath quite shallowly which normally makes matters worse so you should find a nice quite place and focus on your own breathing. Take in a deep breath through your nose, hold it for a couple of seconds before letting go of your breath through your mouth. Do this a couple of times and you should feel a lot calmer; your shoulders should feel more relaxed and just generally feel less tension mentally and physically.

Music

This is probably another common piece of advice people tell you but, again, it defiantly works. Most people say it is best to listen to calming music and, yes, that is what I would recommend but at the end of the day it’s whatever makes you feel happy and more succor.

Do something you enjoy

For me this would be photography. I feel you can really let your emotions out taking photographs and when you’re outdoors taking the photos you get fresh air too which is a bonus! But don’t just do photography because I suggested it, there are tones of things you can do to destress so choose your favorite hobby and go relax! I f you don’t have a hobby, then go find something, it doesn’t matter if you’re not too good at it at first. Practice makes Perfect! Or if cannot to that hobby at that time (like surfing when you’re in the middle of south Africa!) then how about going for a calming walk to clear your head.

Exercise

You don’t have to go outside and do a super hardcore program… unless, of course, you want to! But even just a shot jog around the block can really help you to feel a lot happier especially when you’re outside in the fresh air. Getting your body moving really helps to clear your min and after you should feel a lot better. I love the quote ‘I regret doing that workout’ -no one ever! Doing exercise is just such a good and useful thing to do whether it’s just holding plank for a bit or like I said, doing a hardcore program.

I really really hope this helped everyone reading this even if you’re not stressed and just want some alone time those are good tips.

I’d just like to say one more thing before I finish this post and that is a MASSIVE thank you for 8 followers in just 4 days! wow! I’m so grateful for every single one of you and it makes me so so so happy to see lovely comments from all of you, thank you soooooo much xxxxxx

chocolate strawberry oat jar

Hey Lovelies!

This is a nice and simple breakfast recipe which looks really cute (Instagram prepare for amazing breakfast pics!) and is also super healthy!

You will need…

  • porridge oats
  • 80 ml milk
  • 2 tbs Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbs runny honey
  • 2 ts cocoa powder
  • 1 small handful of chopped strawberries
  • 1 ts chocolate curls
  • mason jar

Now to make it…

  1. Layer the oats in the jar 1st followed by the milk, which should be absorbed by the oats.
  2. next layer the yogurt on, honey and cocoa powder
  3. drop your handful of strawberries on top followed by a sprinkle of chocolate curls
  4. Now leave it in the fridge over night and when morning comes jump out of bed and enjoy and deliciously healthy breakfast!

I hope you will use that recipe because it tastes good and it’s really simple and healthy. You could also alter the ingredients if you wanted a different fruit or something.

I hope you have a lovely morning I’m going out to buy some makeup and stuff from the sales then me and my dad are going to do some off the lead training with my puppy which is scary because, even though I know she won’t, I’m scared she’ll run away!

Do you guys have any pets??

How to make the most of Boxing Day

Hello lovelies!

Yes, boxing day is pretty depressing! It means there is another 364 days until Christmas but usually you get to spend time with family, friends or any relatives who may or may not have given you their presents so you never know you may get a couple more gifts!

If, like me, you’re not doing anything this boxing day then here are some things to do:

  1. exercise -You probably haven’t gone on a jog for a while or done any form of exercise in a couple of weeks (I know I haven’t!) so what’s stopping you from going outside to have a run or a nice long walk! Get outside and burn off all that food you ate yesterday!!
  2. Sort out your gifts -This is a pretty simple thing to do but it’s satisfying once completed. If you didn’t have time to sort out your gifts yesterday and just dumped them in your room, like me, then go sort them out! Trust me it’s a relief once you’ve put your gifts where they need to be because your room feels a lot clearer
  3. Be healthy –I’ve decided, starting from now, I’m going to be more healthy. My excuse before was that it’s nearly Christmas but now Christmas is over… NO EXCUSES 🙂
  4. Have a nice bath- If you’re like me and you got tones of toiletries and bath stuff for Christmas try use some and have a nice relaxing bath, put come music on in the background, light a few candles and use one of your Christmas bath bombs. With all you new shower gel and stuff on you will feel super clean!
  5. bake –If you’re trying to be healthy try bake something nice and healthy but of course yummy! But if not try use up all you’re left over christmas ingredients (like cinnamon, not turkey!) and be creative.
  6. blog -If you don’t have a blog then start one! It’s the perfect time to start because all the busyness of Christmas is almost out the way and it’s slightly more peaceful now there’s no wrapping to do or presents to buy so you should totally go ahead and make a blog if you haven’t already.
  7. Read- I don’t know about you but I got lots of books for Christmas so why not turn off your phone and just sit down, cosy up and read a good old book!
  8. Take some photos -Photography is a great thing to do and it’s pretty simple. If your a beginner don’t be down heartened  that people are better than you so just pick up your camera/phone and go for a nice walk to take some photos. Once you’re back from your walk how about edit and print off your photographs and stick them on your wall to make a collage.
  9. Have some me time -If you’re not supposed to be spending time with relatives how about having some time to yourself. This is a stressful and busy time of year so why not turn of all electronics and do some writing or play some calm music and just lye on your bed for a bit.
  10. Do some DIYs –Find some nice DIYs to do and have a go! even if they don’t turn out the way you hoped it’s always go and fun to just have a go!

I hope you found this post useful and I hope you had a great Christmas yesterday!
