how to destress

Hello Lovelies!

I made this blog to share my passions, express my feelings and to see is anyone can help out in bad situations that I may have but I also made this blog to help others out, to give tips and advice from my own knowledge and to inspire. So that’s what I’m going to do in this post.

Being stressed can be hard to deal with and it can happen to anyone at any time for any reason. Even the littlest things can cause stress so I thought why not help you all out and even if you’re not super stressed these tips are great if you just want some ‘me’ tip or to chill out and relax.

Breathing

This is quite a simple and obvious one which i personally didn’t think it worked so didn’t try it out until quite recently but trust me on this; it works. When you are stressed you breath quite shallowly which normally makes matters worse so you should find a nice quite place and focus on your own breathing. Take in a deep breath through your nose, hold it for a couple of seconds before letting go of your breath through your mouth. Do this a couple of times and you should feel a lot calmer; your shoulders should feel more relaxed and just generally feel less tension mentally and physically.

Music

This is probably another common piece of advice people tell you but, again, it defiantly works. Most people say it is best to listen to calming music and, yes, that is what I would recommend but at the end of the day it’s whatever makes you feel happy and more succor.

Do something you enjoy

For me this would be photography. I feel you can really let your emotions out taking photographs and when you’re outdoors taking the photos you get fresh air too which is a bonus! But don’t just do photography because I suggested it, there are tones of things you can do to destress so choose your favorite hobby and go relax! I f you don’t have a hobby, then go find something, it doesn’t matter if you’re not too good at it at first. Practice makes Perfect! Or if cannot to that hobby at that time (like surfing when you’re in the middle of south Africa!) then how about going for a calming walk to clear your head.

Exercise

You don’t have to go outside and do a super hardcore program… unless, of course, you want to! But even just a shot jog around the block can really help you to feel a lot happier especially when you’re outside in the fresh air. Getting your body moving really helps to clear your min and after you should feel a lot better. I love the quote ‘I regret doing that workout’ -no one ever! Doing exercise is just such a good and useful thing to do whether it’s just holding plank for a bit or like I said, doing a hardcore program.

I really really hope this helped everyone reading this even if you’re not stressed and just want some alone time those are good tips.

I’d just like to say one more thing before I finish this post and that is a MASSIVE thank you for 8 followers in just 4 days! wow! I’m so grateful for every single one of you and it makes me so so so happy to see lovely comments from all of you, thank you soooooo much xxxxxx

  1. These are all great, Autumn! I personally like to write whenever I’m feeling down, or am really stressed. Listening to my favourite playlist and breathing really helps me when I have my anxiety coming through. Great post! I’m sure lot’s of people will benefit from this, and totally relate to your list 🙂
